1942 Sarolea Motorcycle

1942 sarolea motorcycle

Season 2 Episode 8

  • Sarolea made bikes in Belgium from 1901 – 1957
  • Production halted in WWII during Nazi occupation

This guy got it from his grandfather and has been in the garage for 25 years.

I like this thing a lot!! Really cool. Corey likes this and knows they are very rare!

The guys grandfather sent this over in pieces and put it back together lol.

In 1942 this bike cost $1,000. Has adjustable suspension and points to rid in different altitudes.

It doesn’t run, has some rust, and missing the front head light.

Corey offers him $4,000 right off the bat. I don’t think he is biting though.

He counters with $4,500 and Corey counters $4,300

DEAL $4,300, but will Rick be happy?

Uh oh Rick looks Skeptical, but what else is new, Corey has made some sick deals so lets see what happens.

They call in Rick from Rick’s Restorations. This guy can make stuff look great!

I think he is excited about this one. Finding parts is going to be tough. This company was so ahead of its time. Rick says Harley couldn’t have touched them if they didn’t go out of business.

Dang Rick is thinking between $25,000 and $30,000 to restore it. Whoops!!
At auction as is you might get upwards of $15,000 not a bad deal if you can get it!

Looks like its going to auction! Good luck Cory 😉

Rick wanted to restore it bad

AUCTION TIME – Ok I am thinking they are gonna do ok on it.

Asking $2,500… $3,000… $3,500… $4,000… $4,500… $6,760… $7,000

SOLD $7,000 Not bad Corey!!

Rick is happy too 😉

” Production halted in WWII during Nazi occupation ” Germany invaded and Belgium surrendered in 1940. Belgium was liberated in late 1944/early 1945. I’d like some explanation on how this is a 1942 … this little tidbit sailed right over everyones head on the show.

I googled same bike from the show, this bike is the same picture that a guy is trying to sell in ohio. Whats with that?
